The White Bicycles – “Dust” Single

The White Bicycles are an Electro/Dream Pop three piece from Falmouth, signed to Pedal Pop Records. “Dust” is the single from their brand new, self-titled EP (which you can hear in full here).

The band have a gentle, stripped back sound, that melts the youthful vocals of indie music, with a Nu Folk-like chorus, and a handful of muted electronic beats. It’s charming, and very pretty sounding; which reminds me of bands like Racing Glaciers or perhaps a more “Pop” Hundreds. The song itself is a very pleasant journey through subtle synth layers and atmospheric guitars, whilst the vocals in particular sit extremely well in this sleepy, but engaging song. The band reference influences like The National, The XX and Bon Iver; which I find to be extremely accurate.

With their EP only being made available to stream today, the band are promoting the record at a number of gigs across the South West this May.
